Diploma in Culinary Arts - To Open the Doors to Professional Cooking 

The certificate in culinary arts is a 160-hour, front-loaded curriculum that covers the first semester of culinary school condensed into a fast-paced, 9-week program. 

Afterward, the apprentice must complete a minimum of 2,000 hours in a "competency-based" internship model. 

Workers who complete the course will be better equipped to fill a range of culinary roles in kitchens of hotels, restaurants, and airport concessions. 

The completion of two prerequisite courses, namely kitchen algebra, and knife cuts, in addition to two interviews with members of the HTA staff and management, are required for admission into this apprenticeship.

Housekeeping and Room Attendance Program

Our hospitality academy offers an internship program for room attendants and housekeepers that begins with a "front-loaded" 155-hour curriculum for 4 weeks. 

This is followed by a "competency-based" internship that lasts a minimum of 1,000 hours. Workers who complete the course will be better equipped to compete for housekeeping jobs in upscale hotels.

 The successful completion of two interviews with members of the HTA staff and management is required for admission into this apprenticeship program.
